Thailand: Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Mrs Hume’s Pheasant and lots more from the North and Central regions

A selection of bird photos from a trip to Thailand including the mountainous regions bordering Myanmar in the north and central regions south of Bangkok. The fabulous sightings included Spoon-billed Sandpiper – critically endangered and one of the rarest birds on earth with possibly as few as 200 adults remaining, as well as other highly endangered and threatened species including Nordmann’s Greenshank, Yellow-breasted Bunting, Silver Oriole, Giant Nuthatch, Mrs Hume’s Pheasant, Giant Hornbill, Ferruginous Partridge and White-fronted Scops-owl.
